- Tripartite discussions on reforming the social dialogue organization
The tripartite partners of Korea reached a consensus on some issues regarding revision of the social dialogue organization, including its name, at the Tripartite Representative Meeting on April 3. Discussions involved representatives of management (KEF, KCCI), labor (FKTU, KCTU) and the government (Ministry of Employment and Labor, Tripartite Commission).

- Focus on prevention of industrial accidents at construction sites
On April 16, the Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the results of unannounced labor inspections of 891 construction sites nationwide, carried out from February 19 to March 23. These inspections focused on management of safety and health at construction sites, and plans to initiate judicial proceedings against workplaces violating the law.
