- Persistent difference of opinion between labor and management regarding the scope of wages to be included in calculations of minimum wage
On April 13, the Environment and Labor Committee of the National Assembly opened a sub-committee to hear opinions from labor and management on reforming the scope of the wages to be included in calculations of minimum wage. During the hearing, management insisted on the inclusion of bonuses and accommodation allowances in minimum wage, while labor insisted on extending the application of minimum wage to apprentices and domestic workers, while opposing expansion of the scope of wages to be included in calculations.
