On 7 May, LG Household & Health Care Ltd. and Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled signed an agreement on establishment of a ‘Standard Workplace for Disabled Persons’ to hire disabled persons and begin workplace establishment.
The ‘Standard Workplace for Disabled Persons’ is a system, introduced in 2008 and supported by the government, for hiring the disabled. Under the system, a parent company can receive government assistance with establishing a subsidiary which meets certain criteria to hire the disabled.
LG H&H is planning to introduce decent jobs with various types of suitable work for disabled employees, and establish necessary facilities.
