Samsung Group hosted the “Samsung Partner Firms’ Job Fair” at COEX in Seoul on 23 November, with the goals of supporting its partner firms to recruit talented people and assist the youth in finding jobs.
Samsung stated about 200 partner firms decided to hire a total of 2000 new and experienced workers through the Job Fair. Many job seekers showed great interest in a “Total Solution Service” where consulting is provided on resume-writing, interview skills, and matching with hoped-for companies.
This job fair has been held every year since 2012 to provide SMEs the opportunity to meet talented young people and other job seekers looking to be employed by promising companies. This year, in particular, witnessed an increase of 12 participating affiliates, including some in the service sector such as Hotel Shilla and Cheil Communications Inc., and electrical and electronics companies.
Both new hires and the companies expressed great satisfaction with the job fair. One person who got a job last year through the job fair said “I was able to find employment during the job fair by meeting personnel representing many companies and having the opportunity to interview.” Samsung is planning to continue its support even after the event by providing consulting services to job seekers and by matching job seekers and partner firms.
