Doosan Corporation Industrial Vehicle held a ceremony to officially adopt its Declaration of Tripartite Cooperation. The management of Doosan Corporation Industrial Vehicle, its union, and the head of the Jungbu Regional Employment & Labor Office attended the ceremony and pledged to work together to achieve five multi-pronged goals: ‘Enhancing corporate competiveness, job security, CSR and the happiness of employees and their families’ and ‘Promoting cooperation on the regional economy.’
“We have been working hard to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and promote ethical management. We are committed to achieving mutual prosperity with our suppliers, and improving working conditions for our non-regular workers,” a spokesperson for Doosan stated. Doosan’s management added, “We anticipate cooperation with our employees and the union to improve corporate productivity and product quality in order to survive such a tough business environment […] The management would like to ask the Jungbu Regional Employment & Labor Office to support us.”
A spokesperson for Doosan’s union added “The union at Doosan Corporation Industrial Vehicle is doing its utmost to support company growth and job security by extending the retirement age and improving productivity and product quality through labor-management cooperation. We will continue our community services to help those in need, as well as work to turn the current economic crisis into opportunity for new growth.”
Finally, the head of the Jungbu Regional Employment & Labor Office: “Doosan Corporation Industrial Vehicle has achieved both growth of its business and job security through labor-management cooperation. It has also established strong labor relations in which all are committed to following government policy directions in terms of ordinary wage, introduction of a wage peak system and improving the wage structure. I would like to ask Doosan Corporation Industrial Vehicle to continue its CSR efforts and its contribution to local economic growth. The government will spare no effort in supporting Doosan to these ends.”
