For its part, Lotte Group mentioned that “society these days is focusing on quality of life. Companies which can read this trend and provide more value to customers will take the lead in the marketplace.”
Samsung Electronics (SE) recalled the passion the group felt when they first began business, explaining that nationalism, protectionism, and geopolitical risk would increase uncertainty in 2018. SE would not be satisfied with last year’s performance but remind itself of the early days when the company took on its first challenges.
