Hyundai Heavy Industry labor and management reach 2nd temporary collective agreement

Hyundai Heavy Industry management and union representatives negotiated a 2nd temporary collective & wages agreement for 2014. If it passes a union vote, the agreement will △raise base monthly salaries by 37,000 KRW(2.0%) △pay incentives (stock worth 150% of ordinary wage + 2 million KRW) △count annual bonuses worth 700% of monthly wage into ordinary wage △reform wage systems for workers at assistant manager rank or lower.
Hyundai Heavy Industry management and union representatives negotiated the 1st temporary agreement on 31 December 2014, but this was rejected by a union vote held on 7 January 2015. Negotiations were reopened a month later (on 6 February), and a slightly-adjusted 2nd temporary agreement was reached on 11 February.
The union will call for a vote on the 2nd temporary agreement during its general assembly. If the agreement passes, the 2014 Wages & Collective Agreement will be signed, 10 months after negotiations first began in May 2014.
